Invitation to the Sunday stroll - Falkirk, Teufelsbruch meadows, Great Kuhlake

Who knows Falkirk? Who knows the devil break grass? Or the Great Kuhlake?

Walk to current events - Northern Bypass

I would like to invite to experience this beautiful, very quiet area, next door to Spandau.

  • Date: Sunday, 23/08/2009
  • Time: 10:00 clock
  • Meeting point: Bus stop of the M37, Freud Street (at the Spektewiesen)
  • Objective: Mauerweg Radelandstr.: M37 bus 130 or forest hospital
  • Length: about 9.5 km, 3-4 hours

The walk leads from the Spektewiesen on the wetland "Old Lake" and the lake to the Falkenhagener Teufelsbruch meadows in ice chamber. Here is a highway, a highway with a speed of 100, are built directly through the meadow. This means death for the animal and plant life and is also the entire surrounding area, the Great Kuhlake, a FFH area and affect Falkenhagener Lake (Landscape) and also the neighboring Spandau (FFH Spandau Forest), for further information found under www.bisf.de.

I think it's not just the residents to something, but also for us in Berlin. For here a recreational area is destroyed. And also ice cellar is not as quiet as it still is. This road cuts through a still intact large recreation area and habitat for plants and animals, including endangered species. The noise of such highways resounds very well how, for example, in
Erkner (A 10) can hear. Another example is the fragmentation of Barnimer Dörferwegs by

A 10 and A114 The planned so-called Northern Bypass will not be many crossings for pedestrians, this whole area is for walking away then practical. In many places, roundabouts are planned. The video on the planned route to www.bisf.de makes that very clear. Since I can not sit in the chair.

Although I live in Reinickendorf am, however, run into very often of late by the Great Kuhlake and Teufelsbruch meadows. And I saw the yellowhammer singing in the photo attached in the devil Bruchwiese wayside. Then I fell on the posters, the so-called Northern Bypass in the eye, and I was very concerned, especially as I found out after further informed that this road will not even have the intended effect of the planners, but rather the opposite. It will not weglenken to traffic from Falkirk still quiet, but rather draw there. She also goes around does not drum, but right through. Namely, it separates the garden from the settlement amount Falk Falkenhoh and also damaging the Falkenhagener lake that was only recently renatured complex.

Now, we too can do something in Berlin. I have just learned that the documents for the plan approval process now of 10 August to 9 September will be interpreted in Spandau. Until 23.9. we can write objections to the district of Spandau, information in the newsletter of the citizens initiative Falkensee attached. On www.bisf.de one also finds arguments. It is probably no coincidence that the design exactly happens during the holiday season.

I want to do what I can to help us stop this horror. I therefore invite you to walk. Those who can, bring binoculars. I myself am not a bird expert and I would, though perhaps those experts feel addressed. Perhaps it is even possible during the period for objections to organize such regular walks.
